Ruth Martínez is in charge of the selection and incorporation of new titles to the catalogue already managed by Shine Iberia in Spain and Portugal. In 2024, she starts a new challenge at Shine Iberia as Director of Entertainment.

Previously, Ruth worked as Head of Entertainment Sales in the International Department of BoomerangTV (2011-2014). She was also Sales Director at the production company 3Koma between 2006 and 2011 and was responsible for the international launch of productions such as “El Coro de la Cárcel” and “El Calendario del año”. She has directed TV shows such as “Préstame tu vida” (TVE, 2005-2006) and “Esta es mi gente” (ETB, Canal 9 and Telemadrid) and she has even hosted several ETB programmes between 1998 and 2003. She holds a degree in Information Science from the University of Navarra and has studied Political Science at the UNED and International Organisations at Harvard University. She has been featured as a judge at the Emmy Awards (four times) and the Banff Television Festival.
