It is already on the night of 12 September that the most watched house in the country again opens its doors to welcome its new residents. Once the cameras start rolling, will be revealed the 20 competitors Big Brother. In total, over three months more than 18,000 applications were received. “The process of selecting candidates was exhaustive and followed strict criteria. We wanted people with different profiles, able to face challenges that will test their physical, psychological and emotional limits”, explains Lurdes Guerreiro, National Production Director of TVI.

Big Brother, which arrived in Portugal in 2000 and changed national television, is thus reinventing itself for another edition. With a house built from scratch, the third that the format has known in the country, the reality show will have new rules and unprecedented challenges, which will surprise everyone. “We believe that the spirit of competition will bring a new dynamic to the most famous house in the country and will keep the public watching television. There will be great suspense to know who can win each of the tests.

The opening night will also feature a number of surprises. And only Big Brother knows who will present them.
