Dreaming of the Alhambra, skiing in the Sierra Nevada, tasting the delicacies of the gastronomy of Granada … These are some of the plans that Jorge, winner of MasterChef 5, has prepared for Miri to know the charms of her land: Granada.

The couple, who are currently finishing their training at the prestigious Basque Culinary Center, have enjoyed a romantic and incredible gastro-cultural weekend in the Andalusian city and tell us the whole experience in a new video that is already available in his Youtube channel www.bit.do/jorgeymirigranada

Jorge and Miri have discovered all the charm of the best preserved medieval Muslim city in the world and one of the most beautiful monuments that exist. But not only have they learned the history of the Alhambra, they have also visited the Generalife and have strolled through its gardens. They have even had time to get lost in the most emblematic streets of the city of Granada.

To disconnect, they enjoyed an incredible relaxing bath in a spa and went into the charm of the night in Granada. At the Taberna Gastro-Bar Matipe they attended a flamenco party with live music, as Granada is one of the main references of flamenco and has been the birthplace of important figures such as the singer Enrique Morente or the Maya.

The two participants of the fifth edition of MasterChef also took the trip to learn the secrets of the cuisine of Granada and the typical delicacies of the area. Jorge prepared a route for the best restaurants, such as the Parador de San Francisco and the Carmen Aben Humeya restaurant, where they dined with views of the Alhambra. In the summits of the Sierra Nevada, Miri and Jorge took advantage of the final stretch of the snow season to ski and showed that they not only know how to defend themselves before the stove.

To regain strength, at 2,700 meters and on foot, they visited the kitchen of the highest restaurant in Spain: Alcazaba, where the chef revealed the secrets of their dishes before tasting them and taking good note for their next recipes. After this wonderful trip, in which Miri was totally in love with the city, the couple is preparing to choose the destination of their next trip.
