‘Maestros de la Costura’, the first talent show of sewing and fashion design of Spanish television, has been confirmed as a great success, bringing together millions of spectators every Monday in La 1 and unleashing the passion for sewing, while putting in value the incredible value of our textile industry and the work of our national designers.
María Escoté is a laureate designer, with great international success, especially in Asian markets, who has been the first Spanish fashion designer to distribute her collections through the internet the day after her presentation to the press. Palomo has just been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Vogue Who’s On Next 2018 award. Palomo Spain has selected for the ‘Pop-Up’ Store some of the most successful garments of its pre-SS’18 “Palomo por Favor” collection, which will be presented in Paris. Shirts, pants and jackets with masculine cut, a series of pieces that suggest a classic seam but accessible for the day to day, and as always with a clear inspiration in the Spanish roots of the brand.
Lorenzo Caprile, Gold Medal for Merit of Fine Arts, has more than 35 years of experience behind him as a dressmaker and costume designer, defending the craftsmanship and exclusivity of his creations, with an exquisite care in the attention to his clients, among the that there are members of the Royal Family. Although the work of the Caprile workshop is entirely developed to suit its clients, especially in brides, ceremonies and parties, and therefore has no collections for sale like their colleagues, EL CORTE INGLÉS did not want to miss the opportunity to show some of his creations. In the Pop-Up you can see 2 Caprile dresses. a sumptuous wedding dress, with a fitted body and skirt with volume, made in vintage lace and embellished with handcrafted embroideries in Swarovski stones and crystal … and a sophisticated two pieces of guipure also enhanced with embroideries and inlays in lace, rhinestones and swarovski crystal . The two models feature the characteristic neckline of the signature Caprile, which leaves the shoulders uncovered and enhances and stylizes the neck and collarbones and is the perfect frame for jewels, hairstyles or the most spectacular headdresses.
The followers of ‘Maestros de la Costura’ will feel as if they were in the workshop where the apprentices sew on television, since the space will maintain the same aesthetic.
