The show reaches a 90% social share on twitter.

The cooking talent show produced by Shine Iberia for TVE ‘MasterChef’ achieved this tuesday in its season finale a new audience record: 5.524.000 people (33,1% share) watched the election of Juan Manuel as first Spain’s best amateur. A perfect ending for the first season of this cooking contest, that reached its ‘golden minute’ at 00:31, with 6.629.000 viewers and a 47,6% share when he was announced winner. A total of 10.204.000 viewers watched at least one minute of the episode. Besides that, the show also broke records on social media, where it reached a 90% of the social share with 237.645 comments on twitter and more 100.000 people commenting.

MasterChef’s season finale broke a new season record, with 5.524.000 viewers and 33,1% share, which means 1.419.000 people and 10,7 points more than the semifinals, on the previous week. It’s the most viewed entertainment season finale of the season, exceeding season finales of ‘La Voz’, ’Splash’, ‘El número 1’, ‘Gran Hermano’, ‘Tu cara me suena’, ‘Tu si que vales’ and ‘Mira quien salta’. Only great sport competitions like soccer or Formula1 or shows like La Voz, Eurovisión and now MasterChef have surpassed the 5five and a half million barrier.

The show, that had Ferrán Adriá, best chef of the world, to choose the winner with the judges Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, Jordi Cruz and Pepe Rodríguez was watched, in any moment, by 10.204.000 viewers. In total, almost 28 million spaniards (27.731.000) have watched at least one minute of MasterChef, i.e. 63% of the population. Adding the weekend repeats, this volume reaches 29.700.000, 67,5% of the population.

The ‘talent show’, that lead the Prime Time block for the 11th week in a row, registered the ‘golden minuteof the day with 6.629.000 viewers and a 47,6% share, at  00.31, when Juan Manuel was appointed as winner.

The final average of the show has been an 18,6% share and 3.488.00 viewers. It’s had a growing evolution tat ended with a maximum inthe final.

The sucess of Juan Manuel in the season finale of ‘MasterChef’ broke all the records on social media. If the show has grown in audience, it has had the same performance on social media.

The program closed its first edition with a record of 237.645 comments on Twitter and 100.000 people commenting, that generated a 90% of social share on twitter (reported by tuitele). During the minute that Juan Manuel was appointed winner, more than 5.230 comments. It accumuated 5 national trending topics and 2 global on twitter

Many of those users shared hundreds of video pieces of the show while they were watching it from the tablet and smartphone app, that’s installed on more than 170.000 people.

After overcoming every weekly challenge, Juan Manuel became this tuesday the winner of the first spanish edition of the cooking talent show produced by Shine Iberia that has been a huge success throughout the world. The contestant from Almería won out Eva and Fabián in the finale, that ended in second and third place.

Juan Manuel will have the opportunity to continue learning with the Grand Diplome course offered by the haute cuisine school Le Cordon Bleu Madrid; will work in a restaurant of the Bilbao-Berria group; wil, publich its own recipes book and receive a 100.000 € prize. Eva, on the other hand, will receive the cooking diploma in the same cooking school and has been offered a work contract in the luxury resort Mayakoba in México.

MasterChef’s seasonfinale was a program full of surprisesand emotions in which the finalists met with their families and the rest of the contestants. Although he has been invited to all of the other editions of ‘MasterChef’ that have been produced by the Shine Group in 45 countries, Ferrán Adriá has chosen the spanish edition to help Samantha, Jordi and Pepe in the final decision because, in his own words, “it’s the best  MasterChef that has been done in the world”.

Adriá had the opportunity to give some advices to the finalists “you’ve had the best teachers in the world, but the most important thing is that you enjoy the time you spend in the kitchen”.
