Con una sonrisa

“With a Smile” is a warm and funny docu-reality in which six young people with intellectual disabilities will enjoy a new experience in their lives: their first job. It is an opportunity to prove their courage, contribute with their spirit and show their new colleagues how they see, and experience, life. During 6 weeks, they will work at a five star hotel, all in different posts: kitchen, pastry shop, reception, banquet hall and housekeeping. Each one will be welcomed by one of the hotel employees who will be their teacher and colleague. Throughout the 13 episodes, they will throw all their energies into learning a trade and offering both clients and the other employees the best of themselves. Each episode will focus on a different challenge: Welcoming new guests, setting up a conference room, preparing a new dish in the kitchen, kneading the dough for the croissants at the breakfast buffet… are just some examples. As in all learning processes, there will be moments of joy and pride, and others of frustration and powerlessness. “With a Smile” films and accompanies 6 people with intellectual disabilities as they find their spot in the working world, and who have just as much to offer as to learn. These are the stories of 6 young people between the ages of 18 and 25 as they strive to excel, and their impact on the hotel employees and guests, they will leave no one untouched.
