Ruth Martínez is responsible for selecting and adding new titles to the catalogue already managed by Shine Iberia for production in Spain and Portugal. In 2024, she will take on a new challenge at Shine Iberia as Director of Entertainment at Shine.

Previously, Ruth was Head of Entertainment Sales in the International Department at BoomerangTV (2011-2014). She was Commercial Director at the production company 3Koma between 2006 and 2011 and was in charge of the international launch of titles such as ‘El Coro de la Cárcel’ and ‘El Calendario del año’. She had previously worked as a director on television programmes such as ‘Préstame tu vida’ (TVE, 2005-2006) and ‘Esta es mi gente’ (ETB, Canal 9 and Telemadrid) and worked as a presenter on several ETB programmes between 1998 and 2003. She holds a degree in Information Sciences from the University of Navarra and has studied Political Science at the UNED and International Organisations at Harvard University. She has also been a jury member for the Emmy Awards (four times) and the Banff Television Festival.
